I have a 2G Touch with the latest firmware. All my albums have the correct album art assigned to all thier corresponding tracks. When I view the cover flow on the iPod, some of the covers show up two or three times in the background. This isn't really a major problem, but very irritating when I think the next album I'm going to get to isn't the one that is showing as next if you know what I mean?

I am in the process of erasing all covers and starting again from scratch..

Make sure that all of the tracks on an album are assigned the same album name. I mean EXACTLY the same. Let It Be and Let it Be will show up as two different albums.

    artwork issues

Hi i've just bought a 2G touch and am experiencing problems with A/W.Some covers are appearing twice, but i've discovered that this is due to the album title not being keyed EXACTLY the same, more worrying is that the completely wrong album cover shows on the i touch, i.e. ZZ Top covers appear against The Jam.The details are correct on itunes, but not on the touch?.

    Any ideas.

One last point, some of the graphics have been lifted from wiki

    thanks

    David

The tracks are assigned to the exact album names...

Yeah that happens if the albums are named differently.

Maybe the artist names are slightly different?

right click your individual songs and click info. See if there might be anything different between them (those in the same album) that makes it duplicate or not distinguish as 1 album.

I've tried everything that has been suggested on here, and on other sites and it's still not working properly. I'm now giving up and deleting all album art.

It wasn't that the iPod was splitting the album up, but it was assigning the wrong album art to certian albums. Even though it was all ok on iTunes.

    Hi
I've managed a fix of sorts.
Go back into itunes, select the song, then info (control i) and control c to copy the a/w.
then delete it and press ok.
Then go back into info and paste back in the a/w and press ok.

    This seems to work

I had the same issue... but have found a resolution... hope it works for you?!

Highlight all the tracks you have in the album causing you issues... either on your ipod OR your PC (Itunes) and then right mouse to and select "Get Info"

There should be tabs - Info - Video - Sorting - Options
    Choose Options

Then select the "Part of a compilation" tick and choose YES from the drop down.

    Remember to save/apply

Then update you ipod or copy across in itunes etc and it should have worked.

I dont know if this has a knock on effect to anything else though but at least I now only have 98 albums on my ipod and not 458 !!!!

    Cheers

    Ed
