I was messing around with the alarm and playing the different sound effects, some how a volume control slider dialog box pop up so I set it to max. Now I cannot locate that slider again. Anybody came across this hidden feature. I check the manual pdf and it did not mention such a control.

I've discovered that it IS indeed possible to change the alarm volume!
When playing a sound effect or alarm, change the volume using a wired remote, and it should change the volume of the sound effects instead of the musc playback.
I assume changing the volume through external sound docks while playing the alarm would work too. Now even if I mute my music, my alarm plays at full volume!

Now I can finally wake up to the alarm without worrying about setting the speaker volume!
