instead of everybody buying alarm clock docks, can someone create an app that would be an alarm, so that when it goes off, it plays music from your ipod, like a play list or something......obviously it would have to be plugged into speakers.

i would be willing to make it if someone can give my a crash course on programing on windows Vista for the ipod touch

there is an alarm feature in Clocks but it doesnt support playing music to my knowledge, maybe someone could base their Alarm.app off of that function

does anyone know where the alarm sounds are stored in the ipod? because then you could just ssh into your ipod and put music files there.

I want to make one called "detonate" so I can set the countdown ttimer and it will say "when timer ends detonate" perfect for that low-budget movie!

or for scaring the crap out of people

    It's in Library/Alarms
You can replace the files with music converted to aiff,
However, you can only have it repeat itself, so no playlists.
Also, it stops after a certain amount of replays.
You also cannot control the volume,
and the volume is considerably lower than that of music playback.

    Yes you can.
But test the alarm volume before you go to bed, because it's not the same as the volume for music playback
