Is it worth $99? i have a Linksys Wireless G Modem and it kind of sucks. even with speed booster you can only get a connection speed of 52mbps. is it good?

I think its worth it. Its very small, wireless N, Has great range for its size and has USB ports for printers or external drives and stereo I believe for plugging in remote speakers.

Yea your Linksys is pretty crap.

I believe AirPort Express can only support Printers, not USB drives. Otherwise I wouldn't be planning on buying an Extreme... I need Wifi extension, better speeds and shared USB drive :\

I use mine to hook some Bose Speakers to and play music from my MBP out by the pool.

Ipod Touch and Airport Express Problems

    Hi,
New to the group, so forgive me if this has been addressed. I have a IPod Touch 2g, running version 2.2.1. I have an IMac and I've set up my network using the built in airport, and the Airport Express station to play remote speakers. My Ipod touch recognizes the network, I have all the bars, but the IP address is different on my touch than on my network, and I can't connect.

    Thanks!

    I have a Time Capsule.

And it basically has Airport Extreme in it.

Its the best investment ever made by me. I have a linksys and this time capsule, the linksys sometimes drops signal, while the time capsule is always strong and has never dropped a signal.

I definatly recommend an Apple Router.
