Okay so I downloaded the AIM application on my iPod and everytime I go back to the homescreen it signs me out. Is there a way to make it keep me signed in?

No. There is no way to do this at all. Apple prevents any application from running in the background, so every app has to close, namely, AIM. a jailbreak will resolve this.

All you have to do is go to the Settings app and go to the AIM option. In it, it will ask you what you want to do when you close the app, you can choose to let it do nothing. Then it won't sign you out. When you exit AIM, you're not signed out.

I'm never signed out when I exit AIM on my iPod.
