Okay, as much of you know the AIM in the app store isn't the best. But it is all we got now and we have to make the best of it. I notice it signs you out after 10-15minutes. Is this on the programs side or does it have to do with the wifi? I was searching Cydia and found a program called: Insomnia. The descriptions states: "Allows applications to continue to run and WIFI to work long after the screen has been switched off."

I cannot test this right now, but would this help?

I think it does since it keeps the ssh connection open even after 10 - 15 minutes, but then again I haven't tried it since I don't have an aim account (msn is more popular in Canada)

Yeah, we Canadians like to use MSN over AIM, and if you go to Europe depending on where you go they prefer yahoo messenger, now if only you could talk to people on aim over msn and vice versa

or just wait for MobileChat 3.0 to be released sometime this week on the AppStore. It will maintain your login to all your accounts even if Wi-Fi/EDGE/3G goes off.

No, older versions don't work on 2.0 firmware, they are only for 1.1.x.

and tbh, 2.99$ for mobilechat is totally worth it...
