iOS 3.1 Ahh, of course. SHSH's on file and downgrading doesn't work! Awesome!

Well, never thought I'd post about this, but I am quite upset right now. On my ipt3, I upgraded to 4.0 "knowing" (ahem, cough) that I could downgrade to 3.1.2 because I had 1.) SHSH's on file and 2.) my "hosts" file edited to connect with Saurik's server.

Anyway, I try to downgrade (on my MacbookPro) and it will not work. Doesn't even get past "verifying restore with Apple." I guess there's not really a resolution, because I know that I did _everything_ correct. I even tried editing the hosts file on another POS Windows XP computer, and had no luck once again. Sorry for my ranting, but I had to explain somewhere.

I have the same issue, except I'm trying to downgrade from 3.1.3 rather than 4.0

Will be grateful if anyone else has any suggestions..

If you just normally click the restore button, doesn't it bring you back to 3.1.3?
