iPhone 3GS after unlocking iphone 3g/3gs 3.0/3.0.1

    after using ultrasn0w to unlock the phone can you take it to company's other then t-mobile and at&t like verizon or sprint? if not is there another method that will let you?

    You can only use it on att or T-mobile the others have a different signal so it wont work.

    Dude.. what on Earth are you talking about?

    The reason you cant use Verizon or Sprint is because their phones do not use SIM Cards ,or smartcards.

    Sprint & Verizon hardwire the service to the phone, itself.

    So if you can find a service that uses SIM Cards, youll be able to used them with your unlocked iPhone.

    In the US, its only AT&T and T-Mobile.

    thanks i am gonna unlock my friends but i wanted to be sure.

    Not only if they use simcards. They have to use the same frequencies as AT&T. For example, you can use an unlocked iPhone on T-Mobile because they have the same Edge frequency, and that is also the reason why the 3G on an iPhone won't work on T-Mobile. The frequencies just don't match up.

    The reason an iPhone won't work on Sprint and Verizon is because they use a different type of network.
    Sprint and Verizon: CDMA
    T-Mobile/AT&T: GSM
