My Problem has been solved, the blank icons are created by the BlackBerry Bold Impressions theme for winterboard so that you could have a blank row of icons so that the HUD at the top of the screen looked correct.

To remove the blank web clips just simply uninstall the blackberry theme, or if you want to keep the theme but get rid of the icons then you must navigate to /private/var/mobile/Library/WebClips and delete the blank webclip folders.

I would just like to say thank you to everyone who helped me solve this issue.

Any ideas of what app could have caused that?

It's a simple defect due to mobile not being able to edit /var/mobile/Library/WebClips. This is why they show up again.

There is no adware for the iPod as of now. especially with adding 4 blank webclips, wtf? I'd hardly call that adware after a few deleting and no checking around through SSH.

Edit: OH MY GOD PEOPLE IT'S A PERMISSIONS PROBLEM

They were changed to x5x or x4x or x0x when they need to be x7x or x6x

Well actually this started after I installed a webclip package in cydia from a unmentionable source.

So Like I said it was my fault for trusting in that type of community.

The reason why I think that it is adware is because it was only supposed to install one webclip but it installed it and 4 others, then when I uninstalled said package it only removed the advertised webclip and left the blank ones.

Even though after you saying that the system couldent delete them, is this most likely because they had root previliges and since the springboard operates as mobile that would explain it...

Besides I needed to restore anyways cause my ipod was beggining to get cluttered with useless junk.

    Anyways thanks for the help
