What is the point of unlocking bluetooth for iPod Touch 2G? Does it mean that you can use a bluetooth as an earphone with Mic + speakers? How does one "Unlock" the bluetooth from a 2G?

    1. there is a bluetooth chip in the 2g ipod touch, but only the nike+ can use it, unlocking means have other things use it
    2. 3.0 unlocks some functionality for bluetooth
    3. there is no way to unlock other than 3.0 YET

It would be cool to be able to pair your cell phone with the iPod to use it to call people using the iphone headphones. So basically as a handsfree device. I'd like to see a cydia app for that

Yeah I've been following the Bluetooth progress on another thread before the iPhone OS 3.0 was released and I really want to be able to do those things. My cell phone sucks and is not as nice as an iPod touch.

fm radio requires an fm radio transmitter.

anyway the advantages of adding bluetooth functionality to the touch is that it lets you have added connectivity with other devices and with accessories.

There isn't any mic in the iPod touch. If you mean that we'd be able to use a Bluetooth headset then no it hasn't been unlocked but i'm pretty sure we'll see Cydia apps doing this.
