    Hey guys,
So my ipod touch 2g has been jailbroken since day one when QuickFreedom came out. I was wondering if theres any benefit to restoring and rejailbreaking using the Redsn0w GUI? Can anyone give whats the benefit of the Resn0b jailbreak to the QuickFreedom?
And if I do restore, how should I go abouts backing up my cydia apps? I use app back up before i restore, and then what? Ive never tried backing up my apps, so thats new to me.
    Any help would be wonderful

There is no Redsn0w GUI (Yet!). But if you want to use the CMD one, the go to www.redsn0w.com .

    1. Download AptBackup from Cydia

    2. Use it

    3. Back up in iTunes

    4. Restore

    5. DFU mode

    6. double click on redsn0w.exe (from redsn0w.com)

    Done!

There is no need to do the first 4 steps, I used redsn0w 0.3 with an already jailbroken iPod with no problems

There are direct downloads on this site. Even though redsn0w runs in cmd, it does everything for you, you type nothing

download your version to your pc from redsn0w.com

    plug in your iPod

dont worry about backing anything up

run the redsn0w and away you go.

benefits... hmm you will be running the same thing as most of the people here so you will get better help, and you can change your boot logo on the fly with LogoMe app if you JB 2.2.1 using redsn0w 0.3

okay, that cleared some stuff up. So I dont have to do anything if my ipod is already jailbroken? Cause on the redsn0w FAQ, it says having a pre-existing jailbroken ipod may cause problems...

Be careful. Redsn0w will reinstall Cydia, so it will think you haven't installed any packages, even though you have. Doesn't hurt anything, but it won't see any updates.
