    What does Facebook have that others don't? When all else fails you have perfectly sound emulators for SNES and GBA; the best selling consoles of their time.

    Expect the controls can be horrible and the sound emulation last time I checked was still bad.

    I thought HTML 5 was all about video? So games are not possible anyway, so missing plugin will still exist for a while.

    Personally, I don't care what standard is used, I just want to be able to browse the web and watch videos, which sadly can still be a pain.

    Flash in safari would still be useful, even if it is dying.

    personaly i dont like to play snes, gba or nes games on iphone as i already emulators on my psp ...regarding facebook , mult-touch feature wud help to access few games n apps faster then mouse on windows

    No, HTML5 is about a lot more than video. It supports a subset of OpenGL called WebGL that can be used for a lot of interesting stuff. Google ported Quake 2 to it for instance (link).

    The reason we hear most about video is because that's the part of the unfinished spec that is the most usable in it's current state. That's still the only common use where it equals flash in terms of performance.
