    Hi,

I am having a problem when i add music to itunes - the music I am adding is at 256 kbps but when added to itunes it is only 185 kbps. If i burn to cd first then add it adds at 256 kbps - any idea what settings i can change to make it add at higher bit rate whether from cd or from desktop?

My import setting are at 128 kbps (mono)/256 kbps (Stereo) - AAC encoder. Is there a better setting than this as I used to have it at 320 kbps but cannot seemt o get it this high anymore?

    Thanks...

Go to general under preferences. Then import settings. Pick AAC Encoder. Under Setting go to custom then under stereo bit rate change it to 320 kbps. Then the 2 below it change to auto. Uncheck VBR and optimize for voice. To convert your songs to 320 kbps go to advanced create AAC Version.
