    Does anyone know how to add (or edit) a keyboard to the ipad?
    I live in Norway, and we have three letters not present on the english keyboard; Æ, Ø, Å, and it would make typing alot faster if I had a keyboard with those letters(like on the iPhone)

    I remeber in the early days of iPhone you had to add a norwegian keyboard from cydia, and I am sure it will come eventually, but it would be awesome if there is any way I could do this myself.

    Anyway, if any other international ipad users out there have figured out how to do this, please help me out. Thanks

    If you hold down the letter in English doesn't it pop up with the other language things?

    Yeah, they do, but it really slows down the typing when you have to hold in A to get a Å. A norwegian keyboard setup would make typing alot easier and faster

    So nobody knows what files to modify to get a new keyboard setup?

    That only works on iPhone. Norwegian keyboard is not yet a part of the firmware. That is why I posted in the jailbreak section. I am sure it will be supported eventually, but I am also sure there is a way to "hack" it in there, I just need to figure out how

    There actually is a german keyboard in the firmware, just go to;
    settings>general>keyboards>international keyboards, it should be there

    Edit, just added it and saw that it is missing the keys you need. So there is definately a need for custom keyboards

    I have no idea how to do it, but maybe a developer who created Greek and Hebrew keyboards for the iPad can help you (I'm using the Hebrew keyboard, and it's great).
