So I have added numerous roms fine with winscp, but I must be retarded cause I can't properly add apps. I have tried to use 3 that I put into the apps folder, but each one will only open up the first screen with the top springboard toolbar still there and freeze. Is there anything more you have to do besides put the .app folder insides the applications folder? Any suggestions?

    1) Download the application
    2) Extract
    3) In the folder, there should be another folder named NameHere.app
    *Must end in .app
    4) In that folder, there should be .plist files, .pngs, etc.
    5) SSH into the iPod, and drag NameHere.app to /Applications
    6) Right-click on the folder (check to set recursively so it'll apply to each folder)
    7) Most Applications require permissions to be 755 (few cases require different such as Installer-4755)
    8) Respring
    9) Run App
    More info here

Can you clarify which application you are trying to Install or is it just in general?
Run the steps above. If it still doesn't work then post back.

Thanks guys. One more thing. After adding something with ssh, I know you have to restart to get it. I restart by just turning off and back on. Is there another way?

In SMBPrefs, choose to "Restart Springboard".

    The app will then appear.
