I want to be able to download podcasts to my iPod touch 2.1 firmware, jailbroken, and have them shop up in my MobileMusicPlayer.app.

I can play them back using MobileCast, but it does not allow me to listen while I browse the web, for example. I also have used the play command in MobileTerminal, but I cannot rewind or fast-forward with this, so it is not that useful.

I know in the 1.1.x firmwares, one could use MNPLight to do this, but it does not work on the 2.x firmwares, which I run. Is there a way to add my downloaded mp3 files to the iTunes library on my iPod without connecting it to a computer?

No, because some framework was disfigured.

You can try using backgrounder so then it'll still play while doing other stuff. =p
