Actual gigs of Touch

    First. I want to know what is the actual gig of a 8gig Touch after its up n running?
    Second. I want to know what is the actual gig of a 16gig Touch after its up n running?
    The reason Iam asking i want to compare before I buy.

    8GB- 7.44GB Its like .3 gig after formating
    16GB- 14.84GB Its like 1.16 gig after formating. Why is it bigger formating than the 8gig?

    Up to 22 hours is the life of the battery for the Touch. But after u jailbreak it n install apps does it decrease the life of the battery?

    No, it shouldn't decrease the battery life. It all depends on what apps you are running.

    I doubt installing apps will deplete the battery any faster. However, using them will...

    If you install ssh, you might want to download Services.app so that you can turn it off when you dont use it. Other than that, no your battery life should be fine as long as you watch your wifi and ssh usage.

    Some apps (in particular SSH) are always running in the background unless you turn them off. And SSH use the battery up faster. That's why installing them will deplete the battery - technically you are using them, you just don't know it.

    same w/ wifi, turn it off when ur not using it.
