Is anyone else having massive problems with their iPhone 4 activation? It just says "Waiting for activation, this may take some time." Should I take the SIM out of my old phone? Should I leave it in? Does that matter? It's been trying for 45 mins now. Anything I can do?

Should I keep my old SIM in my phone or take it out?

Well everyone is trying to activate their iPhone at the same time so it might take a while. The guy at AT&T told me that it can take anywhere from 30 min to 2 hours. Just give it some time and im sure it will activate

I did not cut up my sim card. The phone shipped with a new micro sim.

1 hour now, still not activated. I tried doing the online activation and it failed as well.

You'll just have to wait.. Keep unplugging/plugging in your USB cord into your computer (with the phone connected of course) That's how I got my iPhone 3G to activate on launch day. I didn't have any problem with my iPhone 4, but I got it a day early.

I ended up calling their activation line to do it manually, and it works now.

That's strange. When they activated me in the Apple Store, it took less than a second. Literally plugged it in, up popped the dialog confirming its success, and unplugged. Strange...
