accidentally deleted a directory

    i accidentally deleted my contacts directory in winscp and now i can't find my contacts on my ipod touch at all, how do i go about fixing this?

    I'm not sure about WinSCP but I use MobileFinder and you can always check the Trash in that app and every deleted object is in there (for further deletion or to restore). Actually I doubt this is the case for your problem, but you can check.

    Other than that, you can restore. It sucks, but next time you got to be careful.

    couldn't someone just upload that directory somewhere for me? minus all their contact information of course

    i can't find any recycle bin in winscp

    I try to avoid using computer to iPod programs, so everything, other than the jailbreak 1.1.2. is done on my iPod.

    I wouldn't know what to do in your case.

    what is the name of the contacts directory? maybe if i just recreate it

    Hey,

    do you know if the if you deleted was called "AddressBook".
    This seems to be the app folder, ive copied it from my ipod and zipped it up for you.

    try downloading it and placing the folder (not the zip, extract it then use the folder inside
    ) in to the libary folder on your touch.

    thanks, i was missing that but it still doesn't work, i don't have a contacts button anywhere

    idk if i deleted more than one directory or not

    i guess it's just time to suck it up and restore

    oh you gave me the library directory for adressbook, after rejailbreaking and finding what i was missing i realize what i needed was the MobileAddressBook.app directory under /Applications
