    Hello,

I'm trying to access the internet at a hotel. It seems that I can connect to their network (I get all the bars showing at the top of the ipod touch screen) but whenever I try to go on a website on Safari, I get the following error message:

    Lost network connection (NSURLErrorDomain:-1005)

I've tried to clear the history, cache and cookies in the safari settings but still have no luck. I've also restarted the unit several times.

Has anyone else experienced this problem and found a solution?

    Thanks.

This happened to me. They have their Mac filtering on, most likey. Or there is something wrong with the access point.

    it's not a mac filetering.
if u have a laptop, just spoof the ip address of the itouch to sign in, and then disable the wifi of your laptop and you'll be able to use ur itouch.

this is probably a pb with the lengh or type of url of the sign in page of the hotel.

i had also the pb in google reader on my itouch when marking as read too many rss..with a few rss it's ok...

    cheers

perhaps the DNS server setting of wi-fi goes wrong.
    do u know openDNS.com?
u can fill the DNS Server ip(at the bottom of openDNS.com page) and have another try.
