accessibility - Text to speech

    I am visually impaired and i know that the touch has zoom but 1 word per screen os crazy...
    I would love if someone could port text to speech over to the touch.

    Let me know if anyone is up to the challenge or if this has already been done...

    so that it would play it through the headphones? Hmmm....personally i dont know how to do this but im sure somebody can! If you move this into the ipod touch application ideas forum you might get more look because devs look there for ideas

    This is sorta what my dad wanted for his iphone, so that he could listen to text messages, say when your drivin or something!

    It's a great idea... I have a Nokia phone that has this feature and the phone cost an arm and a leg...

    there was something on installer called flite, it said it was a text to speech synthesiser, but I could never figure out how it worked.
