I have the same problem at my school. Luckally, my school also provides a WPA2 personal solution. If you get it working, make sure to update this thread.

My school is weirder. We must connect by typing in the SSID, and not selecting the security(which is WPA2 Enterprise by the way). It will appear to join, but there will be no internet access. We must turn off, then turn on the WiFI. Then, we must select the network from the list. It then asks for the username and password. After which we receive a certificate which we select accept. From then on, only do we get internet access. It won't work on either of my devices if I just select the security and type the username and password at the first step. And it's not announced by the school either.

Do anybody else who have iPod touches at your school have this problem? If not, then it is probably going to be either a problem with your hardware, or it might be a problem in your software. Either way, if possible, maybe you could attempt a restore?

It's possible something screwed up when jailbreaking, so... if it keeps failing, just try restoring to original firmware then re-jailbreaking. It MIGHT work...
