I have a iPod Touch 2G i dropped it a couple of times, but not from a great height. But after those drops i always tested the accelerometer and it worked perfect. Since 4 days it doesnt work, the first time it didn't work i resetted my ipod with home+power buttons. After that it worked for a couple of hours after that it stopped working again. Does someone know a solution, or at least can someone tell me if i can get a new one or a free reperation from Apple?

I have it for like 6 months, and it's jailbroken.

If it really is a hardware problem I'd suggest restoring it to factory settings then sending it to apple for a new one.

Just DFU Restore and see if that does the trick.

i just restored from itunes and now i have original 3.0 but i still have numerical battery, and my own own name at the upperleft bar where it originally says iPod. And it still doesnt work, but does this come under limited warranty? I still have 4 months of warranty,

Thats because you restored from a backup.

Put it into DFU Mode, restore it, and when it asks you if you want to restore or set up as new, just press "Set up as new iPod".
