    Hi,
Is there anyway to calculate the distance moved with the help of accelerometer values?

Suppose if take my iphone with me and walk for a distance, will I be able to calculate the distance moved, using the accelerometer values?

Yes, if you use a GPS app on your mobile, something like MotionX-GPS, you can record the approximate distance walked (and also the route). It may not be wholly accurate but this is the best way.

Actually I was trying to develop an app, where I can use UIAccelerometer methods and get the accelerometer values and calculate the distance.

Hit up the development forum, not here. Obviously you'd need to have the accelerometer picking up on small bumps and multiply that by your average stride... our resident dev mod Skylar may be able to give you some pointers as he used accelerometer features in his pockettouch app.
