Little update for anyone who is running OS X Mountain Lion. It will refuse to run by default, BUT it actually works perfectly by hacking one file. Go to Absinthe.app/Contents/MacOS/, and open the file called Absinthe in a text editor. Look for this line:
    Code:
    case `sysctl -n kern.osversion |sed 's/[A-Z]/:/g' |cut -d ":" -f 1` in
    11|10)
    Change that line to say:
    Code:
    case `sysctl -n kern.osversion |sed 's/[A-Z]/:/g' |cut -d ":" -f 1` in
    13|12|11|10)
Save the file, and now the app will run perfectly.

    Should I go from 5.0.1 to 5.1.1?

Same.. iPad 2 won't jailbreak. After it says "Restore in progress" and reboots, there's no loading bar with the Apple logo as in the previous version of Absinthe. It reboots without Cydia installed.

Uh yes?!?!? Why shouldn't you know that there is a JB out for it?

EDIT: BTW, I HATE when new jailbreaks come out because Cydia servers are always overloaded :p

After the reboot, Cydia is not there yet. It takes a few minutes to perform some behind the scenes work, and Cydia installs very last thing. It took probably 4 minutes or so to complete the jailbreak on mine.
