My iPhone 4S is jailbroken, but it seems Cydia is swamped, I literally can't download anything I tried. Keep on getting a 501 error.:(

Bizarre story. I've got an iPhone 4S, running 5.1.1. I backed up to iCloud & did a reset of all content & settings. I wasn't sure of where exactly in the (now restored) set up process I had to be in to have Absinthe work on my iPhone. I began the jailbreak process by the time it was done, I was unable to restore from an iCloud backup. "No matter," I proclaimed. Yet somehow I drove myself to reset contents & settings again. Then upon restoring from an iCloud backup, there's Cydia all of a sudden.

This has been my experience with Absinthe & I hope this could help someone out. A strange & twisty way to the jailbreak but no sir, I am not complaining. Everything is working fine & a big thanks to the devs for working on it.

I had my 4s jailbroken on 5.0.1. I backed it up and upgraded to 5.1.1. Then I ran absinthe. Everything seemed to work fine until the end. I got an error saying something about being unable to connect to lockdownd. Cydia seems to have installed and I have not yet encountered any problems. Could this cause a problem. I don't understand what this daemon is for.

I waited all the time for the iPad 5.1.1 to download to only find out I already had it downloaded before.

One of, if not the easiest jailbreak ever. One click, no dfu, awesome!

The easiest one would probably be JailbreakMe, just a slide on the device, no need to connect it to the computer
