Is the ipod touch 4g microphone sensitive? Does it support other applications? Like skype calling?(without earphone+mic)
    Thanks, lol

Yes. You can use the microphone for any app that supports mic use. You can use for skype or anything like that.

Yes, that microphone is supposed to be super sensitive so you don't have to talk to the back of your iPod

I concur. Because of where the mic is (at the back) I wasn't expecting much but it picks up everything I say into the front of the ipod. Really useful! Love it!

Actually, the T-Pain app picks up what the speaker outputs, creating a horrible ringing sound.

I use the microphone on my ipod touch 4G to tune my guitar via the TyroTuner app. TyroTuner is very accurate and is free.

Oh seriously? Well what if u have headphones in so it doesnt pick up the speakers, then does it work okay? That app was so much fun, especially after they added the feature to sing to any song in your library, and I swear if I have to buy another headset with a mic(my cat ate my first one, grrr) I'm not going to be too happy.

. Not after I got done with it...j/k! But seriously I paid what? 30 or 40 bucks for those headphones so I was extremely irritated...so back to I am TPain, would that resolve the issue, if I just plugged in headphones?
