about a month ago I bought my first Ipod. After about a month it froze in the frame where languages are displayed. Today, I got another one and it WILL NOT take a battery charge. I have tried three different power sources and it does not take any charge at all. Do you folks think I am a jinx and should not have an IPOD?

I know that there is wisdom in buying from Apple but in the meantime does anyone have suggestions that are written for a first time novice?

It's a hardware issue and since you bought it off eBay it probably does not have warranty coverage. You'll either need to have someone replace the part that the charger goes into, or you can buy off eBay again but make sure the seller has 100% feedback (more than 10 is best), read all the description (make sure it is 100% tested and functional this time) and talk to the seller and MAKE SURE it's okay. Also, use PayPal, it protects buyers the best. All the best to you.
