Now, I have a simple question for those who wish for 2.0 to come out so they can have all of 2.0's new features.

Is it Possible, to take the NEW features of 2.0, and put it on a iPod with another firmware, such as 1.1.4. The sensibility of it would not be questioned, and this would be the ideal choice for those who are scared of Pwning their IPod's, because they fear bricking them/Messing their iPod up, or they fear the fact that it is illlegal to put the 2.0 beta on your iPod.

    This is just a thought.

    Parental Controls- probably

New Calculator- maybe if 2.0 apps get ported to 1.1.x

    Anything else?

I heard there is some type of new landscape support so when you turn your iPod Touch, upside down, the video turns that way also. xD

There really isn't anything exciting about 2.0

I've been on it for about a Week and I'm not impressed.

Its unstable, video freezes, music pauses, longer load time, longer boot time.

I'd stay on 1.1.4 if I were you guys.

Yea it's true, when i upgraded to 2.0 i was so excited, but now that i have it, i have understand that it is quite a normal firmware, the only cool thing is the calculator, but i prefer the 1.1.3/1.1.4.

And the boot time is very very long, the first time i thought that were appered the spinning whell of death

Any way to get the Cisco stuff ported to 1.1.x? Most excited about that than anything else. Haven't been on 2.0, but it's in Settings under wireless right?

Do you guys know how HARD it would be to back port an App WITHOUT the source Code?

I've chosen to go with the 2.0 firmware, despite inability to play purchased music and the various bugs, simply because I want the 802.1X authentication support.

But we can't think of that now...we have to talk about how hard it is to back port an App WITH the source code.
