IF YOUR APPS ARE CRASHING, FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS:

I now have all iPhone apps working using this method: :D

Download this ^^ program and enter the IP address from your Touch's "Settings" menu, use user name "root" and password "alpine"

It will give you access to the file system. Copy all of the apps as explained in the first post. After that, MAKE SURE you change the permissions to 755 by selecting EVERY folder, sub-folder and file of everything you added, right click, go to "Properties," (the bottom selection) and change all permissions to 755. Reboot! ;)

Hey guys, if your iphone 1.1.1 apps freeze after you follow this guide do the following:

Use putty.exe for windows and login using your ipod touch ip address. Next Login as root for the username and alpine for the password.

When you are at the # prompt type in /bin/chmod -Rf +x /Applications/

    Enjoy some working appz ;)

OK - I have all the apps installed.. You folks on Windows (Vista OR XP) - use:

    WinSCP - get it here:
    http://winscp.net/eng/download.php

    Install it... Run it..

Enter the IP addy of your iTouch. Enter "root" and "alpine" as the username/password...

Upload the files (PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO WHERE YOU ARE PLACING THEM - they need to go in EXACTLY the correct directories!!!)

AFTER you have uploaded them - you'll see the directory tree now contains your uploaded file...

NeXt go to the directory you just uploaded - RIGHT CLICK on PROPERTIES and set the permissions (click the check box to make it recursive - at the BOTTOM of the properties box...)

Guys - just my $0.000002 as well.....

Many of these folks have REALLY GONE WAY BEYOND trying to help folks out. PLEASE READ THE THREADS and DO A SEARCH.. If you do not understand something - AFTER doing a search - post it up, and someone will help you....

To the couple of folks who have answered a gazillion questions today - thank you.... You folks are terrific....

    All the app folders..

Simply execute the following once in putty:

    /bin/csh

    /bin/chmod -Rf a+x /Applications/*
