I'm making this thread so that it can help others who are unsure about setting up OpeniBoot. I am curious as to who has already done this? I'm going to attempt to run it from an Ubuntu Live CD given that it can work from there. I can't exactly format a partition to dual boot at this moment. So let's make a collaborative guide here. Anyone want to share their process?

Ok so are you using a live CD or a pendrive or a hard installation of Ubuntu? What steps have you taken to try to correct the problem?

Haha that usually helps. I haven't really read it myself quite yet. I've still got 10min left on my Live CD download...

Half the time I really don't understand your posts. Is English your native language?

The point is to use something that a group of people have spent lots of time on. I feel like it's important to give credit where credit is due. What they have done, from a technical aspect, is completely amazing. The least we can do is install it and play with it to show our support. If you don't want to install it, don't.

Well.. the first step is to install those lib packages in the instructions.

    "nick@ubuntu:~/Desktop/iphonelinux-demo$ sudo apt-get install libusb
    Reading package lists... Done
    Building dependency tree
    Reading state information... Done
    E: Couldn't find package libusb"

Knowing the correct package name would help..
    Code:
    sudo apt-get install libusb-dev libusb-0.1-4
