a lot of you will ask why I posted this in this section. That is simple. A LOT of people are forced to restore due to errors in the 1.1.4 jailbreak process. And if you guys are like me, I hate it when my Apps are deleted during the restore process.

I had posted a thread in the 1.1.4 General discussions last night about my first set of iPod and iPhone pranks scripts. The scripts have now been updated and I hope everyone enjoys. NOTE: this is currently Mac OS X only, but supports PowerPC and Intel architectures. Please donate if you enjoy this and I hope that people can use this package as a backup and pranking tool. if u have any questions, sound them out!

Well, I can't help you there, but from my personal experiences, I enjoy OS X a lot more than I do Windows. But that is just my experiences.

so, I was just wondering if anyone has any objections about the Application Backup, or if they would like to submit a new backup idea OR a new prank idea. just checking because I have gotten literally no feedback, except for the guys who PM'd me and they know who they are. lol.

If youre only interested in backing up your music so that you dont have to reupload everything by hand is to setup itunes to sync your music automatically with a playlist

Please Register or Log in to view images

That way you just add or remove tracks from your playlist and let itunes sync it to the ipod. This way when you are forced to restore - youll be just one click away from restoring your music

definitely. I think that backing up music is really pointless because iTunes is already your backup in that regard. However, many have their system configured just how they want it and then they have to restore unexpectedly....loosing everything. This will help and continue to help as I get support for more directories in the backups, but I am heavily testing. I think that what I released it bugged up

good thing I released it in beta just in case

keep me updated on your results though!

i will test it today and give you some feedback.
please include a readme with some basic infos and instructions.

is the password already included as alpine?

terminal just closed itself after the backup of the apps was done. normal?
    where is the backup stored?

does it matter if you use installer oder cydia?
what do you have to install manually before the "Restore Applications"

yes the default password is "alpine" and that is supposed to happens, and the backups are stored in the root of your drive in the /iPod/Applications/ directory. I was trying this out personally last night and I actually had some issues, so I'm hoping that if I'm not the only one having issues, you guys can help me isolate scripting errors. lol I have no beta testers on hand sooo I'm the only one who gets to try before release.
