Alrighty, so I am new to this jailbreak thing, so I just have a few questions about Cydia and some tweaks and stuff.

    1. Are Cydia and Installer the same?
    2. Is everything that is in Cydia compatible with the 2g ipod touch?
    3. Could anything in Cydia brick my ipod?
    4. Does GBA, and Genesis work good on iPod Touch or laggy?
    5. Is Sarafi Download Plugin better than iDownload app from appstore?

    6. What is BossPrefs the package do?

    7. Any programs to allow bit******* downloads?
    8. How can I transfer my downloads from Safari downloads to computer?

    9. Any good respring apps, or something that will like restart your ipod without restarting it?

    10. What are some really good stuff to get from cydia? like apps or tweaks?

Thanks so much! Any help is appreciated, and I might not be the only person with these questions. So thanks to anyone whos anwers any questions.

    its called a FORUM

    1. They both do the same thing. Cydia is better, IMO.

    2. I dont have a 2G, so I cant answer that.

    3. You can't brick an iPod.

    4. GPSPhone(GBA Emulator) runs full speed for me. Never tried the genesis emu.

    5. I'd assume so. Since the download plugin is an actual plugin for safari.

    6. BossPrefs is an app that has extended settings, toggle switches, and more. More info: http://code.google.com/p/bossprefs/

    7. Yep. Can't think of the name at the moment though.

    8. Via SSH

    9. SBSettings

    10. Winterboard, OpenSSH

    1. Cydia and Installer serve similar purposes, but are not the same. They are both applications that allow you to install jailbroken applications and other utilities/mods straight from your iPod touch. But Cydia is the better of the two in most peoples opinions.

    2. Yes, everything should be working just fine on the 2G iPod touch.

    3. There's nothing that I'm aware of and if there was I'm sure it would be pointed out by many.

    4. Yes they both work and are somewhat laggy but there not too bad.

    5. In my opinion, the 1st is better.

    6. BossPrefs allows you do some tweaks right from your iPod touch like move your jailbroken applications over from the small 300MB partition to the large media partition (6.x GB).

    7. Yes, there's dTunes.

    8. Yes, through SSH

    9. Use SBSettings from Cydia

    10. WinterBoard, Clippy, PocketTouch, NES Emulator, SBSettings, the list goes on

Omg thank you to all that replied.

    Just one more question.

I dont have WiFi at home, so is there any other way to transfer the downloads from the iPod to the computer while its plugged in?

Like do they save to a folder I can view when I hook the iPod in?

    Thank you SO much!

You can use iPhone Browser (don't have a link) but to install apps you'll need WiFi
