Hey everyone, I have a bit of a problem with my jail-broken (I think) iTouch.

I went to use McDonald's free WiFi to download Phone Terminal so I could install everything offline, but when I went to download something along the lines of "No Source, you don't have the source for this download" any help with a completely offline way to put stuff on to my iTouch, I have tried Cyder 1/2 and iFunBox with no luck also iFunBox says my iTouch is "Jailed", I used spirit but not sure if it work?

    All help appreciated.
    Thanks.

First, install AFC2add if you want to use iFunBox. Second, McDonald's WiFi may block the connection depending on how things are set up - so the fact you can browse doesn't mean much, if they've blocked non-http and non-POP3 ports. The "No Source" message suggests that you either don't have a connection or else you don't have the release list for that source.

Can I suggest you try using Cydia at a hotspot which offers a (relatively) unfiltered connection?

Thanks, I might be going to one of my friends houses whom has WiFi but before I go I'm going to try iFunBox with AFC2add and I'll post back if I have success.

    Thanks.

Also, DiskAid and iFunBox claim my Touch is not Jailbroken so any help?

I'm not familiar with downloading via terminal, but perhaps you need to have the source added to Cydia?

You really need a permanent Wi-Fi connection to have much fun with a jailbroken iDevice. Cyder can be a little hard to get working, but I've found it useful in the past. There is another thread here somewhere on how to get it working.

Why don't you just use Cydia, it's just as good

Why are you using Terminal to download?
