Ok after jailbreaking from 1.1.2 to 1.1.4, I've discovered a few problems with my iPod. First, iTunes refuses to recognize it, even after I just downloaded and installed the newest iTunes. Next, under settings->about it says that I have 0 songs and 0 videos, but the memory usage is the same as before, almost full. I guess there were really only 2 problems after all, I can download and install whatever apps I want, installer is working fine.

Edit: When I click on video/music, it just opens a white screen and crashes back to the home screen.

Why didn't you restore to 1.1.4 and use ziphone 2.6b?

Alright, my bad. I did a poor job explaining. So I had 1.1.2, updated through iTunes to 1.1.4, got the "Recovery mode" message, ran Ziphone2.6b, most everything worked. Now iTunes won't detect and I can't listen to my music/videos.

    Any advice?

After you restored to 1.1.4 did you rename your ipod or just shut down itunes and jailbreak?

I left itunes open, but didn't rename it. Failure on my part for not closing it?

Let me borrow this thread. I have the exact same problem as the TS. After using Ziphone 2.6b everything seemed just fine. Except that iTunes refuses to find my touch. Any ideas, anyone?

Nah, too much hustle and I´m not sure that IS the real problem.
jpga13 did give a clue, i restored the Touch again, used Ziphone and then i immediately renamed my ipod via iTunes. Now it seems to work as a charm.

Edit: this was done on a PC using XP

    Glad it worked for you.

Sheeps41, are you using windows or mac? You may need to try another USB port or chack and see that mobile device process is running on your pc.
