OK, I just got this, and I love it. There are a few things I'm a little foggy about:

    • How do you get the .sit.hqx files into dsk's? I looked at the tutorial, and HFVExplorer says it does not know how to use the file...
    • How do you play games? The mouse disappears... do you use the keyboard?
    • Is it possible to de-write-protect the Desktop to save text, images, etc.
    • And does anyone know where a MacPaint for 7.5.5 is?
    Thanks ahead of time!

If you want to make it read-write, then change the permissions of the .dsk file to 777.

Use two fingers and swipe up to use the keyboard

OK, when I use HFVExplorer, I have the untitled disk open, and I navigate to my .sit.hqx file, and when I try to copy it, it gives me an option box. I choose "Copy Mode: Automatic, let the program decide" and I leave "Check for AppleDouble" on. It gives me the error: "HFVExplorer: <File Location>/ShareDraw2.02.sit.hqx: hqx header file not found". What should I do?

Decompress the file with Stuffit. Think of it like trying to install a program that's in a .zip archive. It won't work unless you unzip it. (in this case, unstuff it).

    I'm on Windoze Vista (x64), can I 7zip it?

Edit: Nope, such a thing as Stuffit for Windows? Or at least a .sit file handler?

There's a stuffit for Windows. I used it on Vista a few months ago, and it went fine. Just google Stuffit.

It's a trial, but will unstuff the files for you.
