i want to pwn my 2.0 ipot but i dont want to brick it
so wat are my chances of bricking?
As long as you follow the instructions provided (whether it be Pwnage, WinPwn, xWinPwn, or any of the others) you don't have to worry about bricking. I used WinPwn, & the only problem i came across was because i didnt read the directions close enough.
I say go for it. You DO have a chance of bricking, but its not very high. Its not very hard to do also. just make sure you read a guide.
if ur on windows u can use my tutorial which is in my signature
im a noob at this but can someone explain what bricking is
screwing up ur ippod
I'd say around 0%
yeah, well i think I may have done it.
I was using the technique where you install 126.96.36.199 RC1. on the 1.1.4
then uninstall it and install the 2.o one...well, things were going well until i hit PWN on the 2.0
did i not have to because it pwn'd with the 188.8.131.52 RC1.
perhaps i used the wrong file, it did say iphone, not ipod, are there 2 versions?
anyway, it stalled a long time on the pwnage then nothing, and nothing on the pod, can't restore...
diagnostics say it's functioning properly
just not connected
