    Hi, everyone
I recently got an ipod touch 2nd Gen 8g. My brother put an password on it and he couldn't remember it. So after I held the power button and the home button I put it in DFU mode. But now my ipod touch wont turn on its just an all black screen.

Also, when I connect to my computer it says : one of the usb devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it.

And When I connect to itunes it says: itunes has found an ipod in recovery mode. So I tried to recover it and it says software for this ipod is not available please make sure you have the latest itunes which I have.

Once I have an video I will upload it !

Hold Power and home for at least 10 seconds and then let go and it should boot up..
If now unplug, hold home and plug in keep holding home until the plug into iTunes thing pops up on your screen.
Both of these should let you restore.

Oh, btw, I think you need LibUSB to read DFU iPod, I'm not sure tho..

hold home and power for more than 10 seconds, or until you see the Apple logo.
