ok, I sm still in 1.1.4 on my 16GB ipod touch. I am considering upgrading to 2.0, but only if I can make a backup of all of my applications and data on 1.1.4. I would use ibackup, but it won't work if you have summerboard installed. I would uninstall summerboard, but I believe that summerboard is the only reason that my ipod still works. I have 243 folders in my applications folder, and so, in theory, 243 applications. In my experience, the ipod touch cannot support more than about 90 apps without summerboard. If I uninstaller summerboard, i'm afraid that the framework supporting my ipod will be removed and my ipod will be in serious risk of bricking. Any ideas?

    You have two options...

1: SSH into the ipod and copy the applications folder and whatever else you like and save it on your desktop.

2: Run ibackup and then when it is done go to this directory and delete summerboard.
    Vista - C:\Program Files (x86)\iPodtouchmaster05\iBackup\Applications
    XP - C:\Program Files\iPodtouchmaster05\iBackup\Applications
