You see, I am getting a iMac for christmas and have noticed something.
When I download wallpapers and themes for my iPod Touch, and when I unzip say a wallpaper, within that folder are two folders. Ex:

    BlahBlahWallpaper(folder after unzipping) -v
    _MACOSX(folder)
    BlahBlahWallpaper(Folder)

And I plan, when I get my iMac, to simply get a flash drive and switch everything over...Would I need that _MACOSX folder?

I've deleted that folder before and it's never given me any problems.

I always wondered what the point of that folder was. I mean there's other ways of storing information about a file without adding a whole new folder...how about some info in the file description?

To clear things up, OS X automatically indexes any folder created, so it can be found via Spotlight. _MACOSX is the index folder, usually hidden.
