Hey fellas, just looked here: http://www.touchdev.net/wiki/Document_Hardware

Noticed that the wireless chip apparently supports 802.11A, anyone know how to get that freq. going? My work network is 802.11a amd I'd rather run that at home if I could. (A is way better than B/G but not popular in consumer markets due to cost. In the enterprise though it's way better giving the fact that it's no longer competing with all the other wireless tards in the 2.4Ghx spectrum, lol....)

    cheers,

    ph2t.

When Ifixit disassembled their touch they did find a wifi chip supporting 802.11 a/b/g and they still believe it has bluetooth capabilities but can't confirm it yet. Apple only confirms b/g, so it would take a new hack at this point to use 802.11a. The idea of bluetooth headphones is intriguing though.

Yeah, cool. I'm hoping someone could do it. May not happen though given 802.11a isn't that popular.

    cheers,

If it can be hacked, someone will do it. We may have to wait until the SDK release though.
