Ok, Im going crazy. The properties in my music folder is showing 70 gigs roughly of music. But when I sync to my Itouch, Im only showing 20g or so of music. I have used several duplicate file finders and have deleted MANY duplicates but it still is showing more than 3 times the amount of space. Does Itunes compress that much music??..Please and suggestions???

BTW, my Itunes library is showing I have 4010 songs (22 gigs) and my itouch is showing I have 3944 songs...Im confused

Do you have the convert down to 120kpbs or whatever thing selected? Will greatly decrease the size.

Do you have "Sync All Music" selected?

It's on the front page of the iPod.
When you connect it, the page that pops up, with the info.
It should be a check box below.

Ok, I see it. And its NOT checked. I just did a search for music in my music folder library and it found 3716 music files on my computer (75gigs). I look in my itunes program and it says I have 4010 songs (22 gigs). So I must have some hidden files in my music library??

    Something's not checking out.
Sounds like iTunes is giving you false info.

Unless you have some deep hidden files (doubtful), it wouldn't take 50gbs.

iTunes DOES store thumbnails and the such in those folders, but wouldn't make sense.
