    wut is the difference, i have(5g77) and Quickpwn wont work it says firmware string error

    5G77A is for the iPod Touch 2G. As I feared, Brendin downloaded the iPod Touch 2G version, which is why I insisted on letting iTunes download it... unless the info in his iPod version beside his name is lying, in which case he's trying to jailbreak a Touch 2G. Which is currently unjailbreakable.

    If iTunes downloaded 5G77A, he has a Touch 2G. Or he downloaded it with a Google link.

    i hav ipod tough 2g. i downloaded 2.2 firmware through itunes..
    anyone hav jailbreaking idea plz help me....

    If you've read ANYTHING on the Internet, or on this site, including the iPod Touch 2G forum here, you'd know there IS no way to jailbreak the 2G at this time due to the changes in hardware.

    So... no help for you.
