Has anyone here tested their battery life on their new 4g touch yet? I have fully charged the battery, shut of wifi and bluetooth, and let my iPod play music continuously to see how long the battery will last. This was tested with ear buds in, and volume between 1/4 to 1/2 mark. I was only able to achieve over 20 hours according to the battery meter. This same test on my 2g touch wielded over 40 hours. Does anyone think the battery meter is currently inaccurate? Ive read reports of the meter being inaccurate during recharge.

In real life usage, I was able to make a ten hour trip, sporadically playing games, listening to music, and I watched half the Dark Knight without it getting below 20%

That's been my experience. I drove 1.5 hours to my g'parents (listening to music and playing games now and then, full brightness if anyone was wondering, Wifi on). Then I played games for about 1.5 hours straight (BT on so I could play with my brother), then the same deal on the 1.5 hr trip back. Didn't even get below 40%.

What was your brightness set at. That can have a huge impact on battery life.

agreed. the brightness is key in the battery life. the brighter it is, the less time you have to enjoy it lol

You'll have unlimited battery life if you carry a car charger with you.
