Can someone please explain this for me?

"* Initial Tests Expected to Demonstrate Real-World Download Speeds Ranging from 20-70 Mbps, Significantly Faster than the 5-12 Mbps Expected from Other Operators in the U.S."

How do you get 20-70Mbps on mobile internet? I get 0.6-1 Mbps or 50-120 kB/s on my home internet with verizon.

Thats pretty slow for a home connection. I get about 140 kB/s on my phone over a weak 3g connection.

20 Mbps would be around 10 times faster than a strong 3g connection. I doubt many people will actually get 70 Mbps in the real-world.

you know how microwaves cook stuff? well we are the hot pockets now lol jk

The 4g stuff uses more efficient spectrum and also more of it so thats how, but the way we place towers and run fiber in the States, we will probably get 25 on the high end.

ya, ya, ya.... At&t still sucks. Their 3g is so bad the only time you notice it actually works is (i guess) if you are standing in apple's iphone testing lab. Other than that, Apple will do themselves a HUGE favor and switch over to verizon. they will have at least one more customer, that's for sure!

The speeds of that are amazing! My home network is only a 1.5Mbps connection, so I'm only able to download at like 170KB/s max! >.<

And sure, it isn't the fastest connection that my ISP provides, but those 4G speeds still beat it! The fastest package my ISP provides is a 13Mbps connection.

And I can't even get that package where I live!

    Holy crap, wireless got fast.
