4.09 GB "other" used up space

    Hi, i am new to this froum and my ipod touch is showing up in itunes as having 4.09GB used up as "other". Please can someone tell me what this is or how to fix it.

    Try Restore and re-jailbreak...

    SSH in and check your Media directory. Most likely you have a duplicate iTunes Control folder

    dont cydia (and other native) apps show up as other? mine do.

    Jail-break

    i havnt jail-breaked my ipod touch. it has V2.2.1 of software on it.

    NO. DON'T RESTORE YET!!!!

    Go to Settings, hit General, then Reset.
    Reset all Settings.
    If it doesn't work, then you restore.

    wow what is it with this "OTHER" stuff? There has been like 10 posts about this within the last week or so - me included (having this problem) I wonder if there is a "bug" going around that is infecting our devices....kind of like that conficker virus.

    i had an "other" problem a while ago, pre jailbreak. i just restored it
