    From Apple Insider:

"Apple this summer will go a long way towards silencing critics and catering to one of the most prevalent demands of its iPhone user base, when it introduces a multitasking solution through the handset's 4.0 software update that will finally allow several third party apps to run concurrently and in the background."

I'd rather have 3.1.2 with Proswitcher and friends.

i think that the rumors have been going around for multitasking for a while. and the title is misleading; its another rumor.

I love how the article completely ignores the fact that there are already third party "task managers" that actually work quite well.

I understand that. But they talk about multitasking and the implementation of a task manager as if it's some huge problem that Apple just can't seem to get their arms around.

I'll believe it when I see it.
