I have just a couple random questions..
    I have a 3G itouch running 3.1.3 software.
I jailbroke it with Spirit early this year.

I'm considering upgrading to 4.0 software with the "jailbreakme.com" jailbreak.
    1. Is this new jailbreak stable?
    2. Are most cydia apps now 4.0 compatible?
(currently using activator, backgrounder, bigboss src, categories, circuitous, five icon dock, five column sb, sbsettings, ...)
    3. And will I have to re-install all my cydia apps and mods?

    Thanks.

    1: yes
    2: yes
    and 3: yes.

But if you get pkgbackup or aptbackup you can keep your apps or at least a list of them (pkgbackup will physically back them up, and aptbackup will make a list of them.)

So far I haven't heard of too many errors with jailbreakme.com; it's just that the website itself has been having a load of problems.

And yeah, I'm prety sure that almost all of the cydia apps are compatible. From what i've heard and read.

3.Circuitous isn't compatible with 4.0. But the native backgrounder is alot better

Do you have to backup all of your songs and such on your iPod Touch when upgrading from 3.1.3 to 4.0?

You don't HAVE to, but it would be a VERY good idea.

Please be aware that this is PdF exploit that leaves a major security hole in the iPod or iPhone for black hat hackers to put malicious code into. please be careful what sites you visit after jailbreaking using JailbreakMe 2.0 AKA Star Happy Jailbreaking
