so i plug my iphone into itunes and it says the firmware has expired and i need to upgrade. but i'm without access to a mac computer for about 2 weeks.. is there any way i can keep running beta 4? i'd use the GM but i heard it won't sync with windows 7 (itunes 9.1 i think i have.. or whatever the newest version is)

please help asap because i'm at school and i can't get home unless i can call my dad

You're going to have to upgrade to the GM on a Mac running iTunes 9.2 Beta. Or you could go back to 3.1.3.

I got the same exact message. I have no access to a Mac either. I went into DFU mode and restored to stock 3.1.3 firmware on Windows and it worked fine.

Your best bet is to downgrade or upgrade if you're on Mac.

i could try to get dad to bring his macbook home with him tonight.. but with the GM, can you upgrade to it with itunes 9.2 beta on the mac, then sync with itunes 9.1 (or whatever the newest one on windows is) on windows 7? because if i can't sync im stuck.. thanks guys

Nope, you'll need iTunes 9.2 to sync as well.

You'll have to move everything from your windows computer to the mac.
