    Hi all,
I have a first gen ipod touch and pretty annoyed at Jobs for retiring it.
Since there is minimal technical differences between the first and second gen:
Since it is obvious that it can technically run, even just the lite version that the 2nd gen ipod touch and iphone 3G are getting,my question is this:
Are there any intentions to hack it to work on the first gen ipod or the first gen iphone?

    thanks all,
    Josh.

I'm pretty sure it's possible since the 3G has the same hardware. But you'd need to edit the 3G version to get it to run on the 1g touch and iphone.

There might be a way, but we will only know once it is released to the public and hackers get a chance to mess around. For the time being, though, you may want to start thinking about upgrading if you want the newest features.
